Grindosaurus

€2.500,00

Description

25 Years Ago, I won a competition to create a public artwork in the Hoeksche Waard.

At the time, I claimed that while looking for a foundation for my sculpture, I found a large bone on an artificial island in De Grienden, a new neighbourhood near Puttershoek in the Hoeksche Waard. I claimed that I had sent the bone to the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (KBIN), where they apparently discovered that I had found a new species.
I then proposed using the art budget to excavate this prehistoric animal and present the discovery as a work of art.
In the meantime, I built a large dinosaur out of steel and polyester.
Now, a quarter of a century later, the bones have been restored and cleaned.

But why stop there?

It is perfectly possible to create a prehistoric discovery especially for your art collection or museum garden — your very own personal dinosaur, complete with its own story and history. I would be happy to come and visit you and see what kind of prehistoric creature might be hiding in your garden.
Perhaps we should go looking for it together.
