Empress Sisi liked visiting the royal zoo of the Habsburgs, where they had penguins, tigers, pandas, elephants, gnus, and her favorite animal of all: the pelican.
To create this sculpture different types of clay were mixed and baked in different ways to create intriguing color effects, to highlight the eccentric nature of the Pelican.
