Title: Beach drawings
Material: Mandrakes and spades
Size: over 35 kilometers long
Over the course of three weeks, I was to be found on the beaches of Bergen, North- Holland (Bergen aan Zee, Camperduin, Hargen aan Zee, Egmond aan Zee, Egmond Binnen). Every day I continued further on a sand drawing that went on for kilometers. I wore my white linen suit and a hat to be easily recognisable as the artist. I used different rakes and spades to make the free-hand drawing. It became the biggest beach drawing ever. During the work I was aware of the tides and took that into account in the design of the drawings.
I also made a film. This film is now in 2024 & 2025 showed at the Museum Kranenburgh, Bergen NL
