Description
Moo Lati , the Nederlands Fotomuseum
With Moo Lati , the Nederlands Fotomuseum presents the latest work of art by artist Moritz Ebinger. It is the seventh edition in the Nacht in/ Dag uit series. Moo Lati tells the story of illegal tree felling in the Amazon of Suriname. Twice Ebinger traveled to Moengo in the Marowijne District in Suriname for a residency at the Kibbi Foundation. He made an installation in a dilapidated swimming pool and investigated illegal logging. He documented this with drawings and film footage. “Moo Lati; This book is a film” is the result of his second residency and research. A book with a QR code to a 12-minute film.
Both the film, stills and drawings from the film were projected 24/7 on the street during Corona 2022
